I’ve been working on an Articulate Presenter course with a lot of flash files that have audio. There are audio clips that go along with each slide. I quickly began to notice that the.swfs acted differently once imported into Articulate. I want the flash movie to be completely separate from what’s happening on the slide.

Essentially, each slide was converted to a Flash movie. Articulate Presenter was around well before eHelp (one of the leading companies) was purchased by Macromedia that was purchased by Adobe. In fact, eHelp licensed Articulate Presenter for their own RoboPresenter product.

If you use Quizmaker ‘09, make sure to take advantage of the Slide View feature. The first thing I recommend is to get rid of the templates and placeholders, and start with a blank slide. By downloading the.MP4 video file and inserting the video into the slide, the learner won’t need Internet access.

I searched for “PowerPoint and e-learning” and stumbled upon this Articulate company and Articulate Presenter. Some of their customers had PowerPoint slide decks and wanted to convert them into courses. It’s one slide and no layers. None of their developers wanted to work on the courses.

I restructured the info-centric slides to be more customer-focused. Clicking on slides in a linear order has nothing to do with them selling the clocks. My measure of success is not slides viewed. If you click on the wrong spot, you are bumped to a reject slide. Then I pulled the slide’s flash file (.swf)
