Among the many new and exciting features in Camtasia 9, one of my favorites is the expansive pre-built animations that are ready for us to use. If you used Camtasia Studio 8, you’re already familiar with the thirty transitions that are built into Camtasia. It is almost identical to the same options in Camtasia Studio 8.

Ducking can be done in Camtasia, but Notching requires a dedicated audio editor like Adobe Audition. An example of a video where notching was used can be found here. Notching is when you remove the audible frequencies from your secondary audio that may conflict with your primary audio.

For example: tungsten lights, fluorescent lights, cloudy sunlight, etc. If your live-action eLearning video takes place in one lighting situation, automatic balancing probably works fine. Some cameras will offer you to select the type of light you’re shooting in and then offer a generalized preset. Don’t be afraid of performing some tests.
