Last summer I spent a week at Lynda.com headquarters and had a great time recording the course “The Gamification of Learning.” And now the course is live and being seen all over the globe (73 countries to date). Mini-Course Project

Working on a number of projects (including the newest book) but am also creating a mini-course with my good friends at Kaplan EduNeering. The idea is that you can get up and start to learn at 8:45 and then be done by 9:00, I love the concept of the mini-course. Here is a smuggled screen shot of part of the course.

Yale's Online Course Initiative

Last night in a "blogger only" press conference (love the idea), a team from Yale University announce the launching of seven online introductory courses. Complete courses with audio and video from each class session within the course. Syllabi, reading assignments, problem sets and other materials accompany the courses.

According to Fortune , Bill Gates (yes, that Bill Gates) his favorite teacher is named Sal Khan. Sal teaches at his own online university called khanacademy.org which is a vast digital trove of free mini-lectures all narrated by Khan.
