The PNG graphics format is launched. Macromedia (since acquired by Adobe) launch Flash as a tool for online animation. As an addendum to my series of postings looking at online media elements, I thought you might be interested in this potted history of online media: 1987. Nowhere much to use it yet, however, as no World Wide Web.

Xerte supports popular media formats such as.jpg,gif,png,swf,flv, and.mp3. Similar to Adobe Presenter / Captivate and Articulate Presenter , Xerte publishes web-ready videos to html pages that call swf files (minus the price tag, of course). Thanks to Jane Hart , I was introduced to Xerte today. Xerte - Learning Object Demo.

used Adobe Presenter to record the audio ( Recommendation: For audio recording, use Audacity , which is easy-to-use and has more features). to integrate the PNG converted PowerPoint slides, and the audio (MP3) files from the published Adobe Presenter presentation. What are the ingredients of a great teacher?
