I asked my client to save the narration text from a.docx crosswalk as a.txt so I could upload it quickly into Captivate’s Slide Notes.

The process is slightly different if you’re using a PC versus a Mac—of course! The Mac process involves an extra step using a free software called Open Office. Import/Place.emf file on PowerPoint slide. Right click and select “Ungroup” Using a Mac: Open vector file in Adobe Illustrator.

Result slide does not show up for a captivate project with more than 45 random question slides. TAB Order dialog throws Error #2046 on Mac OSX 10.10.5. Effects are not played fully in SWF, when the effect duration is less than the default effect duration.

Import slides to iPhoto by choosing File> Send to > iPhoto. The iPhoto window opens with your imported slides. You will notice, however, that your slides are not visible on your device using iTunes. Open the Photos folder and locate your slides. Select the slides you would like to use.

Attempting to delete a slide object? In the image below, I'm attempting to delete an unwanted slide from my Filmstrip. .    From that point forward, I wasn't prompted to confirm my action whenever I deleted a slide. The slide was good and gone. Captivate will prompt you to confirm the action.

You can choose either avi or wmv , but if you will be following along next week to learn how to insert YouTube videos into PowerPoint 2008 for the Mac, I would choose wmv. In PowerPoint, select the slide on which you would like to insert the video. When you view your slide show, click the video to play it.

But when I do a project preview and change the size, the slides get squished or stretched instead of maintaining aspect ratio. Note: I selected maintain aspect ratio when I imported the PP slides.

I’ve got a pretty straight-forward Captivate file with about 140 slides. I have TTS on almost all of the slides. I’ve exported it 3 times and on my Mac, I can literally watch it fill in the Word file it creates. I have closed captioning turned on. It makes about 95 pages of content.

  If you're using a Mac, I've got bad news. the Mac versions of PowerPoint can't embed fonts, nor can they use fonts embedded in a PC-born presentation. That being said, if you're worried about someone not having your font on their system, you probably aren't using the standard fonts.

As I built the slides, I wrote the slide number by each node of the flowchart for future reference. To produce the slides and SWF, I used Keynote 08 ( not Keynote 09! ). Keynote is a slide editor for the Mac. Keynote is a slide editor for the Mac. There are no variables involved.
