Due to budgetary restrictions I am limited to Power Point in combination with a PPT to Flash Converter as my authoring tool. This has actually gone surprisingly well and I am having a hard time figuring out what the major authoring tools out there have over power point when it is used with a Flash Converter.

I am amazed at the amount of options and tools available for customizing Moodle content to your learners needs and am eager to dive into this book to learn more.

I've been stoked about work now that I have all of these cool tools to play with. I am using employees of the company as characters in the eLearning module which is requiring quite a bit of work extracting images from their background in Photoshop. I'm looking forward to learning more.

This often requires simulating the scene where the task takes place which can be difficult to make look realistic in whatever authoring tool you may use. Tools: The eLearning course was developed using Articulate so most of the work was done in Power point. Don't just tell the learner about it, make them do it.

The forum turned out to not only be a great tool for reducing tech support calls, but it was also a great tool for both novices and experts to learn about the software. In any organization, it can be difficult to attract participation for tools like this even if the information is valuable.

Best of - I used to subscribe to the "Full" RSS feed for eLearning Learning but that can be difficult to keep up with.

I have already played around with a free authoring tool called Course Lab. I saw this coming but reality set in last week when I was told that not only has the e-learning budget been reduced, it has been eliminated until next year at this time. This is a great tool which helps do the research for you. If you click on one of those topics not only will you be brought to posts related to that topic but the keyword list available on the left side of the screen will re sort and display topics related to the previous selected topic.

Through the great tools of Web2.0 Outside of LMS's I learned how ignorant I am when it comes to Web 2.o o and E-Learning 2.0, and I learned that there is a lot of advantages to poking around the internet as opposed to spending most of your time reading trade magazines. You can "open" your Moodle, but most installations require registration, and even more courses require course passwords (enrolment keys) - Joseph Thibault ( MM - GC ) Actually, it is possible to set up a Moodle site so that anyone can read without registering and without login.

In many cases if not most, a job aid or tool can be more effective than investing in ILT or eLearning. I think sometimes I have a tendency to assume some kind of training course is the best way of handling the issue and this workshop helped me realize that this is not true.

It's not just one plugin but a suite of the business tools listed below: Communication - Moodle already has messaging and email capabilities but it's nothing special. Moomis' communication tool adds a few bells and whistles so you can do things like send emails to groups and add attachments.

I am in the process of implementing Moodle and my first time using an eLearning tutorial developed with Captivate did not go well. I ran a little test with a small group of people who are accessing Moodle through a Citrix connection. The tutorial froze up on about %50 of the end users and worked great for the other half.
