A few recent Facebook experiences from the realms of parenting: Don't Cop My Dress! Last night I discovered that Facebook now plays a major role in prom planning. Apparently the girls at my daughter's school have a Facebook Group --"Don't Cop My Dress." The Facebook" --My 21-year old is taking a new media course at NYU.

Here are some numbers from the Facebook press room : More than 400 million active users. 50% of our active users log on to Facebook in any given day. More than 3 billion photos uploaded to the site each month. More than 5 billion pieces of content (web links, news stories, blog posts, notes, photo albums, etc.) Got it.

recent US research project (by a PhD student mind you) has reported that users of FaceBook are generally toffs from wealthier homes and are more likely to study in further/higher education than that great unwashed working class lot who like using MySpace. used to have a MySpace , but abandoned it because FaceBook was easier to use.

If you are a faculty member or administrative staff at a college or university then you might be tempted to check out Academia.edu. All institutions are organized on the top level of a 'tree' (i.e. an organizational chart).

couple days ago I was in a meeting where a person said, I just don’t see the value of Facebook. 8217; What a waste of time.
