The 8-second attention span; or, I'm fine if goldfish are more patient than millennials

The report warned us that the average attention span has dropped from 12 to 8 seconds since about the year 2000, and is likely caused by the exponential increase in use of digital media. We seem to have accepted that smartphones and video games have destroyed human focus.
