Quite often, they're putting clips in the timeline for editing even as the video streams in via a satellite feed. Those of you who cut and produce video content, whether you do it as a hobby, for training, eLearning or broadcast productions, then you know how involved the workflow can be. know that, for my part, I started actively looking for people to unfollow who didn't seem to contribute much to the conversation stream -- i.e., In light of these stats, and the ever-increasing growth, I get asked pretty regularly how I go about managing all those tweets that stream across my Twitter page. Seems about right.

During the live debate, Current TV displayed a live Twitter stream. Tweeps (Twitter people) commenting on the debate were asked to append a hashtag that allowed the producers to filter only those tweets that were destined for their stream. Sadly, not in this case, I'm afraid. Though, it was at least entertaining. No surprise there.

The thing is, I have to be connected to the internet to listen to my musical stream from Pandora. I hope your holiday celebrations have gone well and that your holiday continues to go famously. For my part, my wife and I did pretty well. The rest was just gravy. An FM transmitter adapter for my iPhone. We're currently on the first leg.

In the past we looked at how to navigate social media and manage all of the streams of information. Many of you are either working alone or on very small teams with limited resources. With some creativity, you can do quite a bit. In fact, many of my tips and tricks came from working in a similar situation. Or so it seems. Lurking isn’t bad.

This model has come in for some criticism of course, because there is then great pressure on the editors to publish as many submissions as they can, so the journal can optimise its revenue stream. They argue that peer review comes later - and in a continual stream. Academic publishing is changing. Why should knowledge be a commodity?
