Every year Training puts out a “state of the industry report&# well worth the read. Here are a few highlights: Average training expenditures per learner in 2010=$1,041. Average hours of training per employee=40.1 (up up 9 from 2009). 32% of training budgets decreased in 2010. 61% of Mandatory or Compliance Training is delivered online.

I think it is natural churn in a market that is fast emerging but some of that churn can seem unfriendly and one can certainly see the industry as "half-full" as the analogy goes. There is a great deal of "churn" in the 3D virtual immersive environment space. However, I think it is just part of the evolutionary process.
