I've been using Adobe Captivate for a while now and I am very happy with it for technical training projects but I can't help but wonder if other tools like Articulate may be a great addition to my toolbox. Being that Articulate integrates so well with Power Point it makes me wonder if maybe I would be happier with it for certain projects.

When I first started using Captivate I was under a tough deadline for my first project and did not have the time to take any classes or tutorials. My projects didn't have a lot of bells and whistles but when I used the "Bandwidth Analysis" option, I was finding that the KB/Sec were through the roof on every slide. Here's the story.

I have come to a crossroads with a project that I have written about before. Here are some factors to consider; the majority of the courses require the learner to submit a project for completion. Quick Fix: The quick fix for this is to rename the Camtasia project without spaces or special characters, reproduce it, then upload the new files to Moodle. Because I don't have Camtasia anymore and can't reproduce the project, I had to go into the html and XML files to manually edit the file names.

There are quite a few hosted solutions that specialize in Media Wiki and I have also been referred to PBWiki and Project Forum. After I finish this initial project it should be easier to prove an ROI for other projects. The problem is that there are so many options that it is overwhelming.

At this point I can move forward with the project using just the.swf file but I will not be able to track through SCORM and I won't be able to use the handy Captivate toolbar. How come the.swf file works great but the zipped SCORM package freezes up?

One way to create a realistic scene is to use pictures of the actual environment but in some cases you might want to design a scene that is easier to manipulate so that various scenarios can be constructed from the same scene.
