GAMIFICATION – PLAYING AT (NOT) LEARNING

Defined originally as ‘funware’, it demeans both game playing and education. They use the best practices of education and peda-androgogy and because they are dynamic and built to the same standard as say ‘World of Warcraft’ I find them admirable. Not so ‘gamification.’ For the most part, game playing aims at developing recall.
