Some quick thoughts - Scanning Activity Replaced I likely spend an average of 30-45 minutes per day reading/writing that is part of what I call "scanning" which is staying up to speed on what's going on. This was amplified when George Siemens did a highly participatory session where he had the audience list out design considerations for several things like formal vs. informal, etc. Other than George’s session, most of the rest of the conference had active chat, but it was limited in many ways. There are striking similarities to most of the topics: Most of the core information is already known by the learner. The reality is that much of the training on these kinds of topics is rather boring and mundane because it assumes that its purpose is to teach the person the information in the first place.
