Esther Quinn (1924-2013) RIP

She also studied nursing in Switzerland, again avoiding much of the carnage, and felt remorse in both cases. She eventually went back to nursing when we were old enough, and was a revered fixture in the emergency room for many years (though we had to restrain her from telling injury tales at the dinner table).
