Based on the post He Had a Bad Day , Mark Oehlert , Heidi Fisk and I have had an email conversation that raises an interesting broader questions around the role, voice and communication norms of people who are the leaders / organizers of groups like the eLearningGuild. Should they try to stay behind the scenes and put members out in front? Should they have a strong voice and opinion that champions approaches or direction for the members? Chiara Succi is a good friend of mine that I met while she was interning at the Masie Center. Research Abstract: ELearning Acceptance within Organizations: the Role of Communication In this research we would like to understand the importance of the context surrounding eLearning experiences. In order to do this we identified four categories of variables playing an important role in the preparation phase: before launching/releasing an eLearning activity. Chiara is also a Ph.D candidate at the University of Lugano in Lugano, Switzerland.
