mean, sure, ask the average social media practitioner--or even some social media consultants and social media trainers --how to get set up on Facebook, how to build a better blog, the top 10 things to tweet about on Twitter, or the "do's and dont's of social media engagement" and they're all over it. 34; Why? 34;) Ick.

All designed to get us to buy a manifesto about how to earn thousands or generate lots of followers in social networks over a short time by essentially spamming our Twitter friends. Follow me on Twitter ( @melaclaro ). I wanted to share this quick tip with you about sharing YouTube videos. It has been so useful for me since having recently learned about it myself. 34; (Yep, the entire video was about an hour and twenty minutes long.). How cool is that? Are you a fellow "Tweep"? Got friends?

Follow me on Twitter ( @melaclaro ). If you've ever participated in a brainstorming session, then you know how quickly a group of folks can fill up a series of flipcharts or the white space on a white board. Then, yet further to actionable tasks. That's the ideal result. Now, I can't take credit for this. The tools. Well, 2.67.,

I decided to post this after a couple of friends whom I invited to join me on Twitter a few months ago asked me a question that opened my eyes a bit. About 4 months after they had started their Twitter account, one was still hovering at about the 10 follower count while the other hung at about 40. Advanced Twitter search.

On twitter today a brief conversation ensued about best practices versus best principles. I’ve gone off on this before ( I think Dilbert sums it up nicely), and my tweet today captures my belief: “please, *not* best practices; abstract best principles and recontextualize!. However, I want to go further. On principle (heh).

This evening, I got into a Twitter conversation about how to make change happen. There's been a lot of talk about change recently in education and in workplace learning; I've called for it myself. 0160; I've worked with both types of people. What has made them successful? Those who get Twitter and those who don't. OK, I'm joking, but Twitter does seem to divide people. Well, anyone who uses Twitter on a regular basis will tell you that the power of the tool is not so much in its content, but in its ability to connect you to other people. There are two types of people in the world. You too?

I've decided then to just go ahead and purge myself of all these tabs relating to Twitter-centric resources - fully understanding that #1 I shall never be as complete nor as dilligent in my coverage of these things as Jane is and #2 that the list will be hopelessly out of date as soon as I stop typing and hit publish. Symptomatic of our 2.0

The BBC Online News headline runs ' Twitter hype punctured by Study ', but I'm not convinced that there has been any more hype for Twitter than there was for any other social web service.
