1,000 Twitter users were asked in a survey to state why they like Twitter.  Here The point of social media tools like Twitter is to turn learning into a more collaborative, participatory, social, or natural experience.  Many learning professionals are using Twitter (or micro-blogs) to foster a learning community.  Twitter Here is what they said: It accelerated my learning curve.

So, asked my various networks about this and got back few responses. Peter Casebow via twitter: @tonykarrer got to ask how does it help org to count or know who's had access unless for compliance reasons. I received an interesting question from someone who is working on providing content to a remote sales force of about 40 people on topics such as selling process, products and selling skills. They currently provide some podcasts and video casts, but would like to track the new content that is being developed now. It seems like this should be an obvious question.

Especially with the growing attention towards the use of networked technologies like elgg, mahara, twitter and yammer for facilitating learning processes i felt the need to emerge myself deeper in the theory of community of practice (CoP). After being “a friend” and lurking for a while, i became a full (paying) member of the CP Square (CP2) community. CP Square is a community of practice about communities of practice.
