My own guideline for course notes presentation has been in the style of click-n-go, basically a sequenced approach with screen shots, while keeping text to a reasonably informative minimum. And yet, we do have repeat bookings, even though in the vast majority of cases the information that is required is clearly in the handout.

I was invited to present at an ‘e-Book and Content’ event the other day, which unlike so many of the venues I had been invited to before, was attended predominantly by non-academic staff.

After meeting with curriculum development, we agreed on a portrait layout, with all relevant student information grouped into rows, that can be copied and pasted in one go from Word to Moodle. At the moment lesson plans are written in Word, with content spread around a complex landscape table structure.

The web-cast also worked and our network manager informs me that we had 10 IP addresses connected, though one of those was him, so I guess that leaves 9.
