Screen-sharing didn’t work for rapidly changing slides. and “I’m finding audio is WAY behind the slides/chat.&# Pre-load the slides. The moderator I had hoped to have running the software was trapped in a low-bandwidth environment and couldn’t join us. Voices sounded like we were gulping helium.

The assumption is that the speaker will lead the audience through a linear set of slides; I prefer to jump around. Most web conferencing software is set up for one-way lectures. I’m more into conversations. With some systems, screen sharing fails due to bandwidth limitations.

I got through by doing discounted cash now with a slide rule. My class at Harvard Business School has the distinction of being the last not allowed to bring portable calculators to exams. (A A Bomar 4-function calculator cost $99, a sum that kept many of us from acquiring one.) Everyone has several calculators today. They are giveaways.

I posted 6,200 photos this year. 360 of those were pictures of food for The Berkeley Diet. 550 are photos of Brazil. 500 are from Car Week in Carmel. 150 were from Overlap. Most of the photos document whatever memorable scenes come before my eyes.
